Reena Bhattacharjee



Reena trained locally in Ealing during her childhood, taking regular lessons in ballet, tap, modern and national dance. After finishing school and spending a couple of years travelling the world, she decided to attend the Royal Academy of Dance to complete her teacher training, and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education, with Registered Teacher Status. After qualifying, she began working as a freelance performer – including dancing in the London 2012 Olympics Closing Ceremony as part of Darcey Bussell’s corps de ballet. She also started teaching on a freelance basis while continuing her studies with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, completing both the Diploma in Dance Instruction and Diploma in Dance Education. Reena started En Pointe in 2010 as an after school ballet club at Park Walk Primary School in Chelsea, with just a few students. It has now grown into a school with many classes & locations – and it continues to grow! Reena also teaches for the Junior School of the acclaimed independent ballet company, Ballet Black, as well as working as a teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London. Since 2015, Reena has assisted the RAD in the training of new teachers, by having students come on placement and practice teaching under her guidance. Reena is also the Chairperson of the Royal Academy of Dance’s London & Middlesex Regional Advisory Committee.



Zoi Karapostoli


Ballet teacher

Zoi started dancing at the age of three, and has studied classical ballet, modern dance, contemporary, and physical theatre. She graduated from the BA (Hons) Ballet Education programme provided by the Royal Academy of Dance, and validated by the University of Surrey. During her time at the RAD, she studied dance history, choreography, dance science and education theories. She also undertook the rigorous Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD), and whilst at the RAD achieved her Advanced 2 certificate with an impressive Distinction. She now works as a freelance teacher in London, and teaches ballet for En Pointe.




 Caitlin Barnett

BA (Hons)

Street dance and Tap teacher

Caitlin trained at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts graduating with a BA (Hons) in Dance in 2010. Caitlin has gone on to perform with contemporary company Rhiannon Faith Dancing Theatre as well as Secret Cinema. Television credits include Honda’s HR-V Stepping commercial, The Nation’s Greatest Dance Moments,ITV’s Magic Numbers and BBC’s The Rules of Love. Caitlin has taught street-dance and jazz for various schools across London and Greater London for the last six years. Her choreographic credits include Resolutions! at The Place with ‘Even the Devil has Demons’, also performed at Laban, and as part of the Spontaneous Combustion Festival. She has choreographed for LIPA and The Masterclass Experience and creates her own short dance pieces for camera.
